Detailed Itinerary
 
Day 1     Fly Delhi to Leh 3500 meters
Early morning flight to Leh is worth; because your flight is crossing over the Himalayan Mountains, with a spectacular view. On arrive in Leh we advise you to be fully rest for acclimatisation, because Leh is situated at 3500m above sea level. Spend the day resting and acclimatising, in the evening a short walk to Leh Market. Ladakh is one of the highest inhabited places on the earth. An arid desert situated at a height of between 3000 and 5000m above sea level.

Day 2     In Leh 3500 meters
We begin our sightseeing with Shey the first capital of Ladakh. Perched on top of a huge rock are the royal palace and temple adorned with brilliantly coloured murals and a 7.5m copper - gilt statue of the 17th century Buddha. The 15th century Thiksey Monastery where you can visit the magnificent 40ft high, Buddha statue, which is one of the most attraction and beautiful images in Ladakh. Across the River Indus, Stok Palace is the home of the erstwhile royal family. The palace museum has collection of beautiful royal costume and jewellers, exquisite Thangkas etc.

Day 3     Drive to Nubra 
Along the eastern ridge of the Karakoram ranges in north of Ladakh is the Nubra valley. Khardongla 18000ft passes it is highest motor able road in the world. The breath-taking view from the pass surveys an entire length of the Indus valley in the south and a magnificent panorama of snow clad peaks. Onward to Hunder down the Shayok valley the trail wanders past rolling sand dunes. There is a small population of the double humped Bactrian camels there and if wish you can experience with camel ride on the Hunder sand dunes.

Day 4     Drive to visit Turtuk 
The village Turtuk is recently open for tourist and border with Pakistan, mostly dominated with Muslim population. Later we are heading back to Leh via same route.

Day 5     Drive to Pangong Lake
Today we drive east to Pangong Lake, crossing over the third highest motor able pass, known as Changla pass 5320 meter. This long string lake, the largest of its kind in Himalaya, stretches for some 130 km, with a width of only 2 to 6 km. Pangong Lake is also important destination for Indian tourist, after the Bollywood move 3idiot. On the way we visit 17th century Chemdey monastery rise majestically on a hill with the residences of the lamas spilling along its contours.

Day 6     Drive to Leh 3500 meters
Before we drive back to Leh, you have a more time to explore the Lake.

Day 7     Drive to Lamayuru 3500 meters
Today we drive to Lamayuru, along the Indus River via visit 11th century Alchi monastery, including fresco painting. After village Khaltse we leave behind the Indus River and entering the narrow valley. Lamayuru monastery is one of the oldest in Ladakh and its main assembly hall you can witness 11th century Mahasidha Naropa cave. The monastery is strategic location.

Day 8     Drive to Leh
Heading back to Leh via same route and afternoon explores Leh local bazaar.

Day 9     Fly to Delhi
In the morning short drive to Leh airport to catch the flight to Delhi. (trip concludes)
